First Grade Vocabulary, Alphabetizing, Syllabication, and Spelling Worksheets
Welcome to the third page of first grade language arts worksheets from TLSBooks. You'll find worksheets related to vocabulary, syllabication, alphabetizing, and spelling on this page.
The busy first grade year finds students building a much larger vocabulary. They will learn about root words, become familiar with multiple-meaning words, and use sentence-level context as a clue to word meaning.
Alphabetizing to the first letter and beginning to alphabetize to the second letter is introduced during first grade. Alphabetizing worksheets will help build spelling, vocabulary, and dictionary skills.
The worksheets displayed on this page are being provided to help the first grade child build vocabulary, pronunciation, and understanding in the "First Grade Word Jungle."
