Visit Poetic Power.com for a free biannual newsletter that has tips for teaching poetry. Poetic Power also sponsor a Poetry Contest for Students and award over $50,000 in prizes to young poets each year. Poets in grades 4-12 can send in one poem 21 lines or less. Educators are awarded over $1000 in prizes each year. Contest deadlines are December 1st and April 5th.
